Who We Are
The Eurocan Sports and Culture Club is a vibrant community organisation dedicated to celebrating the rich bond between European heritage and Canadian values. Founded by a passionate group of athletes, artists, and cultural enthusiasts, we bring together people from across the European diaspora who share a love for Canadian life.
Whether you were born in Europe and now call Canada home, have Canadian roots and a love for European culture, or simply want to be part of a warm and welcoming community — Eurocan is your place.
Our club organises sporting competitions, cultural evenings, language exchanges, film screenings, culinary festivals, and much more. We believe in the power of shared experiences to build lasting friendships across borders.

At Eurocan, our mission is to foster unity, mutual respect, and intercultural understanding between European communities and Canadian society. We create spaces where sport and culture intertwine — where a hockey game can lead to a new friendship, and a cultural evening can spark a lifelong passion.

Indoor 5-a-side football and basketball challenge. Open to all members. Teams to register in advance.
⚽ SportsScreening of a celebrated European arthouse film followed by a multilingual discussion evening and light refreshments.
🎬 CultureMembers bring their finest dishes from home — a celebration of European and Canadian flavours under one roof.
🍽️ CultureAnnual club ice hockey match raising funds for a local cause. All skill levels welcome on and off the ice.
🏒 SportsMarking the anniversary of the Schuman Declaration with music, dance performances, and cultural exhibitions from our member communities.
🇪🇺 CultureTrack & field, volleyball, and relay races in a fun, family-friendly outdoor setting. Bring your kids!
🏃 SportsOur biggest annual event — a full day of festivities honouring Canada's national holiday with European flair: music, food, fireworks, and family fun.
🇨🇦 National DayPractice your French, Greek, Polish, Italian, or any European language in a relaxed café-style setting. All levels welcome.
💬 CultureA scenic community run through the city celebrating the autumn season. Costumes encouraged — prizes for best-dressed!
🏅 SportsLive traditional music, folk dance performances, and storytelling celebrating the diverse cultural roots of our members.
🎶 CultureOur flagship black-tie event — celebrating the year's achievements, welcoming new members, and fundraising for the year ahead.
